Counties in Austin

Austin is the state capital of Texas and has over 970,000 people as of 2023. Today, Austin is known for its live music festivals, vibrant and diverse cultures, and booming tech sector. It has three counties within its metropolitan area and they are Travis County, Williamson County, and the lesser known Hays County.


Travis County

Travis County is located in south central Texas and is a part of the Austin-Round Rock Metropolitan Statistical Area with an estimated population of over 1.3 million in 2021. It covers most of the city of Austin and many more of its suburbs. Homes in Travis County include single-family homes, townhomes, and condominiums.




Williamson County

Williamson County is part of the Austin-Round Rock-Georgetown metropolitan statistical area located to the north of Central Austin. It is one of the fastest growing areas in Texas with a population of over half a million residents; Companies like Samsung, Apple and Dell lead its influx of people in the county. Homes in Williamson County include a wide variety of housing from large ranches, farmland, single-family homes, townhouses, and condominiums. Waterfront properties are also available in the parts of the region. This is where most of the suburbs of AUstin is in.



Hays County

Hays County is part of the San Marcos-Austin-Round Rock metropolitan area with convenient access to downtown Austin. Located south of Austin, it's great place for those who area looking for homes with a country-feel without being too far from the big city. The region has a population of over 230,000 residents. Homes in this area are mostly Ranches, farmland, single-town family homes, waterfront homes, townhouses, and condos.
